Cheboksary

On Saturday the girls decided they wanted to take me to Cheboksary because it is a little larger and there is more to do there. Cheboksary is a city on the Volga River. It reminds me of Cincinnati a lot because it has a riverfront very similar to our own. They have a park there along the river a lot like ours and even have a restaraunt on a barge.

The most interesting thing about the trip to Cheboksary was the actual trip. Driving in Russian cities is pretty civilized except that they do not stop for pedestrians. But ouside of the city drivers go wild. If someone in front is going to slow they pass. It does not matter that someone is coming the other way. They just move over and pass 3 wide. And if you are passing a car and the car behind you is not satisfied with your speed they will pass you while you are passing the other car, again 3 wide. The drive to Cheboksary was the only part of the entire trip where I was really scared.
