The last week was spent in Davao. I worked there and my staff entertained Alex-or maybe he entertained them.
We went to a zoo so Alex could see a bearcat-the UC mascot. Apparently they only live in Southeast Asia.
The final weekend we attended a birthday party, watched the Kadawan celebration and rode the zip line.

Durian
Durian is the national fruit of the Philippines. Thay have statues of it. It is the most foul smelling and tasting substance you can imagine. But in order to make the Philippine experience complete you have to try it (I think Alex didn't really believe me when I described how bad it really is). Afterward he understood.
