Trip to Davao

I think this picture sums up the chaos of driving in the Philippines more than anything. Notice the utility pole IN THE STREET. And the sign to the right that says "Driver Wanted." Wonder what happened to their last driver.

The Venue is the best place to go for live music in Davao. Sometimes you will actually see performers that were famous in USA maybe 10 or 20 years ago. I think James Taylor was playing there the week after I left.

This was another resort that I visited just for an afternoon. Really nice pool.

This tunnel was inhabited by the Japanese in WWII. There are a lot of these around Mindanao.

Just another neighborhood. This one would probably be considered upper middle class.
