Paradise island is the resort whee I spent the first part of my trip. It is on Samal Island in the bay south of Davao. It can only be reached by an outrigger boat shown below.
The restaraunt is located right on the beach. In fact at high tide some of the chairs are actually in the water. They serve mostly fruits and sea food and always rice. Dinners are served on a make shift plate crafted froma banana leaf. The shashimi (sushi) was incredible because Davao is one of the largest blue fin tuna ports in the world. It makes a big difference when the tuna was unloaded from the boat just an hour or two ago. The same could be said for all of the fish and fresh fruits.
This is the boat to the island. If you look closely you can see the bamboo outrigging.
